D23 2026 Afternoon Programming: Lineup & $49 Ticket

D23 Ultimate Fan Event

D23 Ultimate Fan Event

Less than two months out from D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney's official fan club has pulled back the curtain on its full afternoon programming slate — and it's stacked. Announced the morning of June 29, the lineup spans a nostalgia-soaked '80s/'90s concert, a rare one-man show from an eight-time Oscar winner, and a deep bench of 50+ panels across five stages inside the Anaheim Convention Center, August 14–16.

Here's the part Disneyland locals should circle: nearly all of this is accessible on the new Afternoon Only Fan Pass — just $49 per day. You don't need a four-figure Honda Center ticket to catch a Broadway-caliber Disney concert. For Anaheim and Orange County fans who can slip over after work, this might be the most accessible D23 yet.

Disney Rewind Concert (Friday + Saturday)

The marquee afternoon draw is the Disney Rewind Concert, a live "mixtape" celebration of Disney's biggest hits from the '80s and '90s. Think Powerline from A Goofy Movie, the Muses from Hercules, the Disney Afternoon TV block, and more — backed by rock-concert lighting and large-format visuals.

The cast pulls from Broadway's Disney royalty: Jared Dixon (Simba), Alyssa Fox (Elsa), Arielle Jacobs (Jasmine), Josh Strickland (Tarzan), and Raena White (Sarabi), with special appearances by Disney Legends Bill Farmer and Jodi Benson, plus 2026 Legend honoree Susan Egan.

Premiere: Friday, August 14 at 7:00 p.m.  |  Encore: Saturday, August 15 at 6:30 p.m.

A Whole New World of Alan Menken (Sunday)

Closing out the weekend is a genuine event for Disney music fans: A Whole New World of Alan Menken, a rare one-man concert from the eight-time Academy Award–winning composer. Menken will perform — and tell the stories behind — the songs that defined generations: The Little MermaidBeauty and the BeastAladdinPocahontasHerculesTangledEnchantedNewsies, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

The show is written by Menken and directed by Richard Kraft, with additional material by Kraft and Jennifer Lucy Cook. It takes place Sunday, August 16 at 6:00 p.m.

The Panel Lineup, Day by Day

Beyond the concerts, every Fan Pass and Afternoon ticketholder gets access to a loaded slate of panels. Here's the rundown:

The Biggest Show Floor Ever

D23 is promising its largest and most innovative show floor to date. Highlights include the Disney+ Hulu Experience (a 4D theater, immersive photo ops, pin-hunting, and exclusive merch), the Marvel Studios' TVA Experience, the returning Lucasfilm pavilion with props and costumes, and a joint Pixar + Walt Disney Animation Studios experience teasing previews of Frozen 3 and Pixar's GattoMundo Pixar: The D23 Experience also brings a preview of its globally touring immersive exhibition.

Tabletop and collectibles fans get plenty too: Ravensburger hosts the first Disney Lorcana Challenge Championship Qualifier of the new season on Saturday, with top players competing Sunday, plus first-ever Lorcana speed-puzzling events on Friday.

Ticket Breakdown for Locals

TicketAccessPrice
Fan Pass – Afternoon OnlyConvention Center, 4–8 p.m. (Fri/Sat/Sun)$49/day
Fan Pass – 1-Day (Sunday)Convention Center, full day$99
Fan Pass – 3-DayConvention Center, all three days$297

A few notes worth knowing: the Afternoon Only window runs 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. each day, you must be a D23 Gold Member to purchase (each member can buy for themselves plus up to five guests), and the Honda Center evening showcases — including Saturday's parks-focused Disney Experiences Showcase — require a separate, higher-tier ticket that's largely sold out.

The Bottom Line

If you've ever looked at D23's four-figure Ultimate Preferred passes and written the whole thing off, this announcement is your opening. A $49 afternoon ticket now gets you a Broadway-grade Disney concert, an Alan Menken solo show, and a genuinely deep panel lineup — all a few minutes from the Disneyland gates you already know by heart. For locals and Magic Key holders, that's about as low-friction as a Disney mega-event gets.

More programming and shopping details are still to come in the weeks ahead, so keep it locked here — we'll be tracking every drop.
