You do not need a badge in Anaheim to watch the biggest moments of D23 this year. Six D23 2026 events will stream on Disney+ between Friday, August 14 and Sunday, August 16, and the headliner for theme park fans is Horizons: A Carousel of Progress, the Disney Experiences showcase hosted by Neil Patrick Harris on Saturday, August 15 at 7 p.m. PT.
That parks showcase is the one that historically produces the biggest announcements of the weekend, and this is the first year it is being handed to a celebrity host built around a Carousel of Progress theme. D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event runs August 14 to 16, 2026 at the Anaheim Convention Center and Honda Center.
Here is every D23 event currently set to stream on Disney+. All times are listed in Pacific, with Eastern in parentheses.
Friday, August 14
Saturday, August 15
Sunday, August 16
One scheduling note worth flagging. The Disney Legends Awards Ceremony itself takes place at the Honda Center at 1:30 p.m. PT on Sunday, per Disney's own announcement, so the 6 p.m. PT Disney+ listing appears to be a delayed presentation rather than a true live feed. Plan accordingly if you are trying to avoid spoilers.
The Saturday night showcase replaces what used to be called the parks and experiences panel, and Disney has rebranded it around one of Walt's most optimistic ideas. Disney describes the program as a journey through "Disney's unmatched storytelling legacy, the spirit of adventure at the heart of so many Disney stories, the remarkable creative process anchored by exploration and curiosity, and the bold promise of possibility that has guided Imagineers for more than seven decades."
In plainer terms, Disney says attendees and streamers can expect:
The format is a conversation-driven showcase rather than a straight press conference, with performances and live moments woven between the Imagineering segments. Thomas Mazloum, Chairman of Disney Experiences, is part of the lineup.
The announced speaker list leans heavily on creative leadership across Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and Tokyo Disney Resort. Those appearing include:
Disney has not said which specific projects each Imagineer will cover, so treat any list of "expected" announcements floating around as guesswork until Saturday night.
Beauty and the Beast 35th Anniversary Celebration. The weekend's first stream lands Friday morning and celebrates the 1991 animated film, which remains the only traditionally animated feature nominated for Best Picture.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 Panel. Saturday afternoon brings the cast together ahead of the show's third season. The Disney+ and Hulu area on the show floor also includes a Percy Jackson photo setup.
Disney Rewind Encore Concert. A repeat performance of the '80s and '90s Disney music concert, streaming Saturday evening right before Horizons.
The Disney Worldbuilders Panel. This one is a natural companion to Horizons. Disney Parks Blog confirmed the panel pairs a conversation about worldbuilding with a premiere screening of Disney Worldbuilders, the new documentary from Academy Award nominated filmmaker Leslie Iwerks. The film features Bob Iger, Josh D'Amaro, Jennifer Lee, Jon Favreau, Kevin Feige, Pete Docter, Dave Filoni, Jared Bush, and James Cameron, and it premieres on Disney+ on August 20.
Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration. The concert is actually performed on Thursday, August 13 at the Hyperion Theatre courtyard in Disney California Adventure, ahead of the convention. The special airs Sunday, August 16 across Disney+, Disney Channel, Freeform, and ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney.
Disney Legends Awards Ceremony. Ryan Seacrest hosts this year's ceremony. Disney confirmed the 2026 Disney Legends class as Chris Berman, Jerry Bruckheimer, Susan Egan, Eric Goldberg, Anne Hathaway, Bob Iger, Kim Irvine, Dwayne Johnson, the Jonas Brothers, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Alan Tudyk. Disney's announcement stated the ceremony "will once again be available on Disney+, allowing fans around the world to experience the magic wherever they are."
The most notable absence is Friday night's Disney Entertainment Showcase at the Honda Center, the 7 p.m. film and series presentation with surprise celebrity appearances and first looks. It is not on the announced Disney+ list. Disney has not ruled out adding it, but as of now the studio side of the weekend is an in-person exclusive, which is how it has usually gone in past years.
Dozens of the roughly 100 convention center panels are also in-person only, including the Mousequerade costume contest, the Alan Menken concert, the Jonas Brothers podcast taping, and the Kingdom Hearts 25th anniversary celebration.
Everything on the list above streams through Disney+, so an active subscription is all you need. A few practical notes:
Six events, three days, and one showcase that will set the parks news cycle for the rest of the year. Horizons: A Carousel of Progress on Saturday, August 15 at 7 p.m. PT is the appointment viewing, with the Disney Worldbuilders panel Sunday morning as the strongest follow-up for anyone interested in how these projects actually get built.
We will update this post if Disney adds more panels to the Disney+ schedule or confirms on demand availability.
