Two weeks after raising quick service prices on more than 800 items, Disney has come back for the sit-down menus. We tracked 291 price changes across 13 table service restaurants, lounges and bars at the Disneyland Resort, covering both parks and the resort hotels. The average increase is +6.5%, and the typical item went up exactly one dollar.
Only three prices went down, and all three were at the same restaurant.
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Price changes tracked | 291 |
| Restaurants and lounges affected | 13 |
| Average increase | +6.5% |
| Median dollar increase | +$1.00 |
| Items that went up | 288 |
| Items that went down | 3 |
| Repriced items now $20 or more | 218 of 291 |
The changes break down into four groups: 138 cocktails and beers, 73 food items, 43 non-alcoholic drinks and 37 premium spirit pours.
This is the part that percentage math hides. Most bar drinks went up exactly one dollar, which reads as a modest 4% to 5% change. What actually shifted is the price level, meaning where a drink lands on the menu when you scan it.
| Bar drinks priced at | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| $20 or more | 77 | 118 |
| $22 or more | 34 | 61 |
| $24 or more | 17 | 25 |
| Median bar drink | $20.00 | $21.00 |
Forty-one drinks crossed the $20 line in a single round. They were priced somewhere between $18 and $19.75 in June, and they are $20 or more today. Sitting just under a round number is a deliberate menu design choice, and a lot of drinks lost that cushion at once.
Carthay Circle is where this shows up most clearly. Three cocktails that all sat at $22.25 landed on the same new number:
| Cocktail | Was | Now | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Double Pear Martini | $22.25 | $24.00 | +7.9% |
| Tequila Daisy | $22.25 | $24.00 | +7.9% |
| Aviation Cocktail | $22.25 | $24.00 | +7.9% |
A few other cocktails moved further than the standard dollar. The Cinnamon Toast Cocktail at Lamplight Lounge went from $19.25 to $22, a 14.3% jump. The Aquavit Sour at Broken Spell Lounge went $15 to $17. At Wine Country Trattoria, the Boulevardier went $18 to $20 and the Spritz Flight went $21 to $23.
The Latitude 33 Brewing Blood Orange IPA at Lamplight Lounge went from $12 to $15.75. That is a 31.3% increase on a draft beer, and outside of two anomalies covered below it is the largest percentage move of the entire round.
The other beer we tracked, the Rincon Reservation Road Brewery Rez Dog, went $17.25 to $18.25, which is the standard dollar.
Sit-down plates absorbed the largest raw dollar amounts. A typical entrée went up $2 to $3, with a median increase of exactly $2.00 across 73 items.
| Item | Location | Was | Now | Change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Portobello Mushroom Risotto | Hearthstone Lounge | $29 | $48 | +65.5% |
| Cookie Butter Tiramisù | Wine Country Trattoria | $10 | $12 | +20.0% |
| Charcuterie Pizza | Broken Spell Lounge | $24 | $27 | +12.5% |
| Palm Breeze Burger | Palm Breeze Bar | $25 | $28 | +12.0% |
| Hearthstone Burger | Hearthstone Lounge | $27 | $30 | +11.1% |
| Lemon Rosemary Chicken | Lamplight Lounge | $29 | $32 | +10.3% |
| Craftsman Burger | GCH Craftsman Bar | $31 | $34 | +9.7% |
| Chicken Parmesan | Wine Country Trattoria | $32 | $35 | +9.4% |
| Roasted Chicken | Blue Bayou Restaurant | $44 | $48 | +9.1% |
| Market Fish | Blue Bayou Restaurant | $46 | $50 | +8.7% |
The Portobello Mushroom Risotto deserves a caveat. A jump from $29 to $48 is far outside the pattern of every other change on the list, and a move that size usually signals a recipe or portion change rather than a straight price increase. We are listing it because it is what the menu data shows, but treat it as a different kind of change than the dollar bumps around it.
Most bottle pours behaved. Don Julio Blanco went $19 to $20, Casamigos Reposado went $17.25 to $18.25, Hennessy VS went $20 to $21. The median spirit pour increase was one dollar across 37 items.
Clase Azul did not behave.
| Pour | Location | Was | Now | Change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Clase Azul Reposado | Hearthstone Lounge | $39 | $58 | +48.7% |
| Clase Azul Plata | Hearthstone Lounge and GCH Craftsman Bar | $39 | $54 | +38.5% |
| Clase Azul Reposado | GCH Craftsman Bar | $48 | $58 | +20.8% |
The $19 increase on Clase Azul Reposado at Hearthstone is the largest single dollar increase in the entire round, on any item, in any category. It also brings the two venues into alignment: Reposado was priced differently at Hearthstone and the Craftsman Bar before, and now both sit at $58.
Non-alcoholic drinks moved by small amounts and steep percentages. The single most widespread change of the round was coffee, tea and hot cocoa going from $4.75 to $5.50, a 15.8% increase, at Blue Bayou, Café Orléans, River Belle Terrace and Carthay Circle.
A few others worth noting: the Heimlich Chew Chew Juice at Magic Key Terrace went $7 to $8.25 (+17.9%), the Twin Bill at Carthay Circle went $8 to $9, and bottled sodas at Mendocino Terrace went $5.25 to $5.50.
Ranked by the average percentage increase across every repriced item on each menu:
| # | Location | Items repriced | Average increase |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | River Belle Terrace | 10 | +9.5% |
| 2 | Café Orléans | 8 | +9.2% |
| 3 | Hearthstone Lounge | 39 | +9.1% |
| 4 | Blue Bayou Restaurant | 11 | +9.0% |
| 5 | Magic Key Terrace | 17 | +7.3% |
| 6 | Carthay Circle Lounge and Restaurant | 30 | +7.3% |
| 7 | Lamplight Lounge and Boardwalk Dining | 32 | +6.6% |
| 8 | Broken Spell Lounge | 25 | +5.5% |
| 9 | Wine Country Trattoria | 17 | +5.3% |
| 10 | Mendocino Terrace | 5 | +5.2% |
| 11 | GCH Craftsman Bar | 57 | +5.1% |
| 12 | Palm Breeze Bar | 28 | +4.9% |
| 13 | Oga's Cantina | 12 | +4.1% |
Volume and severity are different things here. The GCH Craftsman Bar had by far the most items repriced at 57, but its average increase was one of the gentlest on the list. River Belle Terrace repriced only 10 items and took the steepest average.
Prix fixe and show package dining also moved, and the children's price moved fastest.
| Experience | Guest | Was | Now | Change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| World of Color Dining at Storytellers Cafe | Adult | $79 | $86 | +8.9% |
| World of Color Dining at Storytellers Cafe | Child | $44 | $53 | +20.5% |
| Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose | Per guest | $149 | $152 | +2.0% |
For a family of two adults and two children, World of Color Dining now runs $278 before tax and gratuity, up from $246. That is a $32 difference on a single reservation, and it comes almost entirely from the children's price.
Out of 291 changes, three went down, and every one of them was at Wine Country Trattoria.
| Item | Was | Now | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red Sangria | $13.50 | $12.50 | -7.4% |
| White Sangria | $13.50 | $12.50 | -7.4% |
| Aperol Spritz | $22.00 | $21.00 | -4.5% |
Worth flagging because the quick service round earlier this month contained zero decreases across more than 800 items.
Disney has now raised prices twice this summer. The quick service round hit more than 800 items at an 8.1% average. This round hits the sit-down menus at 6.5%.
Between the two, a single guest ordering a table service entrée, a cocktail and a coffee is paying roughly $4 to $6 more than they would have in June. Add a second guest and a shared appetizer and you are comfortably past $10 on the same order.
