The Parmesan Toasted Patty Melt is gone from Carnation Café at Disneyland Park. Disney has replaced it with The Carnation Café Cheeseburger, the burger that left this same menu back in January 2026.
The swap shows up on Disney's official Carnation Café lunch menu and dinner menu, where the "Gourmet Burgers" section now lists the cheeseburger and nothing else. There was no announcement.
The patty melt is not a recent addition. It has been on the Carnation Café menu since at least September 2021, when the restaurant reopened after Disneyland's pandemic closure, and it survived every menu change in the years since. It was built on an Angus chuck patty with Monterey Jack and grilled onions, pressed inside toasted Parmesan-crusted sourdough and served with house sauce, plus a choice of fries or fresh fruit. It was priced at $24.00.
That is roughly a five-year run, which is a long time for a single item at a Disneyland table-service restaurant. Carnation Café is a Main Street, U.S.A. institution, and the patty melt had become the thing a lot of regulars planned a sit-down lunch around.
It is no longer listed at breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Disney did not post about the change, and there is no note on the restaurant page explaining it.
Taking its place is The Carnation Café Cheeseburger, listed at $23.00. Per Disney's menu, it comes with:
It is a dollar cheaper than the patty melt it replaced, which is a rare direction for a Disneyland menu change.

The cheeseburger is not new. Disney pulled it from Carnation Café in January 2026 during a larger menu overhaul, and the Parmesan Toasted Patty Melt is what moved into the burger slot at the time.
The cheeseburger was not the only casualty of that January round. Disney also removed:
None of those three have come back. Only the cheeseburger returned, and it took the patty melt's spot to do it. Carnation Café still offers exactly one burger under "Gourmet Burgers," so this reads as a straight one-for-one trade rather than an expanded menu.
Here is how the lunch menu looks after the change, with Disney's current prices:
The dinner menu is nearly identical, minus the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Kids' meals are $12.00 and include a grilled cheese, a hamburger slider, mac and cheese, and chicken tenders.
Walt's Chili survived again, which is the safest bet on this menu. It has outlasted nearly every other item here.
Carnation Café sits on the west side of Main Street, U.S.A. and traces back to opening day, July 17, 1955, when it was the Carnation Ice Cream Parlor. It became Carnation Café in 1997 and moved into its current indoor and patio setup in 2012.
Disney bills it as the place to "dine on classic American comfort food, including some of Walt's favorite dishes." That positioning is exactly why regulars track the menu so closely. When a comfort-food staple disappears from the comfort-food restaurant, people notice.
Carnation Café serves breakfast from 8:00 a.m., lunch from 11:30 a.m., and dinner from 4:00 p.m. Reservations are recommended. We'll update this post if the patty melt reappears or if any of the other cut items return.
