Gordon Ramsay turned up at his own Downtown Disney restaurant on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, and got a proper Disneyland welcome. Disney released photos of the chef at Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby, where Mickey Mouse and Disneyland Resort President Jill Estorino greeted him at the gastropub.

The drop-in comes about five weeks after The Carnaby opened in the Downtown Disney District, and it is his first public appearance there since the doors opened to guests.

What Happened During the Visit

Disney kept the appearance low-key, but the photos tell the story. Here is what they show:

  • Ramsay posed with Mickey Mouse at the restaurant, which now has a full month of service behind it.
  • Jill Estorino joined the photo. She took over as President of the Disneyland Resort earlier this year, after leading Disney Parks International.
  • The photos were taken and distributed by Disney, credited to Christian Thompson of the Disneyland Resort.

It is not Ramsay's first trip to Anaheim for this project. He was photographed at the site back in January 2026, while The Carnaby was still under construction, alongside then-Disneyland Resort President Thomas Mazloum.

What Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby Is

The Carnaby is a British gastropub built above the new Earl of Sandwich in the Downtown Disney District, and it opened on July 13, 2026. Disney first announced the restaurant in October 2025.

The theme is swinging 1960s London, named for Carnaby Street. Disney describes plush interiors, iconic British pop art, and a soundtrack pulled from the British Invasion. The space includes:

  • Two outdoor terraces
  • lively bar area with signature booths
  • Seating for roughly 175 guests

Ramsay laid out the idea himself when the restaurant was announced:

All eyes were on London in the 1960s, a full on fantastic technicolour scene of people going out and having fun. We are bringing those cool vibes to Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby. Stunning interiors, incredible food and great music, whether it's date night or dinner with friends or family, The Carnaby is going to bring the very best of cool Britannia to Downtown Disney District.

What's on the Menu

The menu leans hard into British classics, with a few Ramsay signatures anchoring it. Highlights include:

  • Beef Wellington, the dish Ramsay is best known for
  • Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips
  • Bangers & Mash and Cottage Pie
  • The Carnaby Wagyu Burger
  • Branzino and roasted Norwegian salmon
  • Chickpea Tikka Marsala for a meat-free main
  • USDA Prime Rib Trolley with a 12-ounce California Cut and a 9-ounce English Cut
  • Starters including Parker RollsG.F.C. Chicken Wings, and salt and pepper squid
  • Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert

There is a full bar with wine, beer, and signature cocktails, plus a kids menu with burgers, chicken tenders, and mac and cheese.

What We Know So Far
