Oogie Boogie Bash, A Disney Halloween Party returns to Disney California Adventure Park tonight, Tuesday, August 18, 2026, opening a run of 33 select nights that stretches through Halloween. The separately ticketed after-hours party runs 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with event ticket holders allowed into the park starting at 3:00 PM.
Tickets start at $139 per guest for the earliest August dates and climb to $199 for Halloween night, the only Saturday on the entire calendar. Here is everything Disney has published for the 2026 run, plus a few details worth reading twice before you buy.
The party runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from August 18 through October 29, plus Saturday, October 31. Prices are per guest, ages 3 and up. Kids 2 and under are free.

The cheapest way in is an August weeknight at $139. The spread between opening night and Halloween night is $60 per ticket.
An Oogie Boogie Bash ticket is more than party access. It also covers park admission for the three hours before the party starts, which is where a lot of the value sits.

A few purchase rules worth knowing before you click buy:
Madame Leota's Swinging Wake, A Haunted Mansion Street Party is the single scheduled show at Disney California Adventure during party hours. On opening night it runs at 8:05 PM and 10:15 PM.
Disney describes it as the street coming alive with spooky music, spirited dancing and ghostly character fun. Showtimes can shift by date, so confirm yours in the Disneyland app the day you go.

This one trips people up. Mickey's Trick and Treat at the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land appears inside Disney's Oogie Boogie Bash event guide, with copy encouraging guests to "start the fun before" the party. That framing makes it read like party programming. It is not.
Every showtime falls before the 6:00 PM party start:
With 3:00 PM early entry, an Oogie Boogie Bash ticket only gets you to the 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM shows. The four earlier performances require separate daytime park admission. If seeing this show matters to you, plan around the last two showtimes.

There are 11 Treat Trails spread across the park in 2026. Candy handed out includes M&M'S, SKITTLES, SNICKERS and other Halloween favorites.
Two things stand out. Yzma is new to the event for 2026, and she shares the Grizzly Peak trail with Maleficent rather than getting her own. And five of the eleven trails sit in the Hollywood area of the park, by far the densest concentration. If you are trying to clear trails quickly, start there.
Disney has not named a villain for the three remaining trails at Buena Vista Street, near Cars Land and the World of Color Viewing Area. Treat those as straight candy stops until Disney says otherwise.
One common mix-up worth clearing up: Villains Grove is a separate attraction, not one of the eleven Treat Trails.

Villains Grove takes over the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail as a walk-through scenescape inspired by Disney villains. Disney calls it "hauntingly beautiful," and it is one of the few parts of the party that is more atmospheric than scary.
Three attractions run Halloween overlays throughout the event:
Disney characters appear in Halloween costumes throughout the park alongside the villains. Theme Park IQ covered the full 2026 character lineup in a separate post.

Disney's event guide lists the menu items but no prices. Here is what the party's featured food and drinks actually cost.
All food, beverage and merchandise offerings are subject to availability and only available while supplies last.

The 2026 Oogie Boogie Bash Collection covers apparel, accessories and keepsakes, some with villain themes. Look for it at:
The standout novelty is the Headless Horseman Light-Up Bucket at $32.25, sold at popcorn carts throughout Disney California Adventure. As always, everything is available while supplies last.

An important clarification first, because this is a common misunderstanding: a Magic Key does not get you into Oogie Boogie Bash. These perks are only for Magic Key holders who also buy a separately ticketed event ticket.
Two upgrades are available on top of the event ticket, and Disney has not published a price for either one.
Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party
Treats and beverages plus reserved seating in the preferred viewing area for Madame Leota's Swinging Wake. An event ticket is required and is not included in the dessert party price.
Oogie Boogie Bash VIP Tour
The VIP Tour returns starting Sunday, August 30, 2026. Booking is by phone at (714) 300-7710 or by email at disneylandviptours@disney.com. Guests under 18 need parent or guardian permission to call. It includes:

Disney's official event map marks 14 Disney PhotoPass opportunities. Remember that unlimited digital downloads are included with your event ticket for anything captured between 6:00 and 11:00 PM.
Cars Land (6)
Pixar Pier (3)
Paradise Gardens Park (3)
Buena Vista Street (1)
Avengers Campus (1)
There is also a Hercules photo opportunity in Hollywood Land that does not appear among the 14 spots on Disney's map feed. Treat it as a bonus stop rather than one of the fourteen.
To collect your photos, scan the QR code on your event wristband using the Disneyland app. Images are downloadable from a MyDisney account for up to 45 days after capture, and online registration is required.

Costumes are the whole point for a lot of guests, and Disney's rules are stricter than people expect. Guests who do not comply may be refused entry or removed unless the costume can be modified.

Disney notes that these guidelines are subject to change without notice.
Oogie Boogie Bash 2026 runs 33 nights from tonight through Saturday, October 31, with tickets from $139 to $199. The biggest additions this year are Yzma joining Maleficent on the Grizzly Peak Treat Trail and the return of the VIP Tour on August 30.
