Disneyland Resort just rolled out one of the most wallet-friendly offers of the summer: a limited-time $59 Evening Ticket that gets guests into Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure after the day's peak heat and crowds have eased. The tickets went on sale June 30, 2026, and are valid for select evenings from July 12 through August 5. Here's everything you need to know — plus the other Disneyland deals running alongside it this summer.

What you get for $59

For $59, you're buying a single evening at one park. On these dates Disneyland Park typically closes at midnight and Disney California Adventure at 10:00 PM, so either choice nets you roughly five hours inside the gates. For comparison, a standard 1-Day ticket starts at $104 and climbs higher on peak summer dates — so the Evening Ticket can cut your gate price by half or more if a nighttime visit fits your plans.

The timing is a bonus, too. The deal lands during the home stretch of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, which runs through August 9, so evening guests can still catch anniversary entertainment, nighttime spectaculars, and the after-dark atmosphere across both parks.

Disneyland Park vs. Disney California Adventure: which should you pick?

Both options give you about five hours, but they aren't identical:

  • Disney California Adventure (5:00 PM entry) — an earlier start means more time on your ticket, golden-hour strolls along Pixar Pier, World of Color, and Avengers Campus after dark. Often the better pick for families with younger kids.
  • Disneyland Park (7:00 PM entry) — the headline draw is the nighttime fireworks and classic dark rides, though the later entry time gives you a shorter runway before close. Best for guests chasing that iconic castle-and-fireworks moment.

The fine print: reservations and restrictions

  • Park reservations are required, and Evening Ticket reservations come from a separate pool than regular tickets. That means a date can show availability for standard tickets yet be sold out for Evening Tickets — so book as early as possible.
  • One park only. Park Hopping is not available with this ticket.
  • Nonrefundable, cannot be combined with other ticket discounts or promotions, and excludes separately priced events and activities.
  • Late-entry trade-offs. Lightning Lane Multi Pass value drops the later you arrive, and most character meet-and-greets wrap by evening — Mickey and friends at Town Square (Disneyland) and Buena Vista Street (DCA) are the usual exceptions.

Why August 5? The Magic Key connection

The August 5 cutoff is no accident. It falls right before the Imagine Magic Key's Southern California summer blockout lifts — the moment a large pool of local annual passholders can return to the parks. Disney appears to be using the cheap Evening Ticket to fill historically slower late-July and early-August nights before that wave arrives, and before the busy August calendar (D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, the first Oogie Boogie Bash, and the start of Halloween Time) ramps up.

Other Disneyland ticket and hotel deals running this summer

The Evening Ticket isn't the only offer live during this window. If it doesn't fit your trip, these are also available:

  • Kids' Summer Ticket — children ages 3–9 can visit from as low as $50 per child per day, with 1-Day, 2-Day, and 3-Day Park Hopper options and a free Park Hopper upgrade. Valid for visits May 22 through September 7, 2026.
  • Hotel savings — up to 15% off select Sunday–Thursday stays at the Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa (and up to 10% at Pixar Place Hotel), for stays May 22 through September 7, 2026.
  • Military Salute tickets — discounted promotional theme park tickets for eligible active and retired U.S. military personnel.
  • Magic Key annual passes — still on sale starting at $599, a smart move for guests planning multiple visits across the year.

One note for planners: the popular Southern California Resident 3-Day Park Hopper deal expired May 21, 2026, so it is not available during the Evening Ticket window. And over at Walt Disney World, Disney has been testing a similar partial-day "After 2 PM" summer ticket — a sign that partial-day pricing is becoming a resort-wide lever for both coasts.

The ThemeParkIQ take

If you're a local, want a low-commitment date night, or just need a few hours of 70th-anniversary magic without a $100-plus gate price, the $59 Evening Ticket is a genuinely strong value — provided you can lock in a reservation. Buy early, choose your park with intent, and go in knowing the trade-offs of a late arrival. For visitors with kids ages 3–9, run the math against the Kids' Summer Ticket too; depending on your group, stacking the right offers can save even more.
